UNIPORT is now accepting applications for its Diploma in Law Programme for the 2021/2022 academic session. This programme is part of the Continuing Education Programme, running for two to three academic sessions. Applicants need to have four Ordinary Level Credit passes and apply online with a fee of N11,000.00.










The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), renowned for its reputable law program, has begun accepting applications for the 2021/2022 academic session. This Diploma in Law Programme, under the aegis of the College of Continuing Education, is inviting applications from eligible candidates.

Programme Duration

The Diploma in Law Programme is a part of the Continuing Education Programme and is designed to be completed over two academic sessions. Each of these sessions will be further divided into two semesters, thereby offering students a well-structured and comprehensive learning experience. In addition, the programme provides an extended time frame for students with not more than five courses to clear or repeat at the end of the second year. Such students will be allowed an additional academic session, extending the maximum duration of the programme to three academic sessions or six semesters.
Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for the Diploma in Law Programme are quite straightforward. Candidates must have Ordinary Level Credit passes in at least four subjects, including English Language in the WASSC/SSCE/NECO/GCE. These qualifications must be obtained in not more than two sittings, ensuring that candidates have a strong academic foundation for the law program.
Application Method

The application process for the Diploma in Law Programme is entirely online. It involves filling out an application form and submitting it online. Once the form is submitted, an invoice page is displayed. Applicants need to click on the “Get RRR” button to retrieve the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code. This page, containing the RRR code, should be printed and used for payment of the application fee.

The application fee for the Diploma in Law Programme is Eleven Thousand Naira (N11,000.00) only, excluding bank charges. Payment can be made at the following designated banks nationwide: First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Ecobank Plc, Access Bank Plc, and U & C Microfinance Bank.

Candidates aspiring to pursue a Diploma in Law from UNIPORT should take note of the deadline for form submissions. The sale of forms will conclude on Tuesday, 31st October, 2023.
