EKSU Job Recruitment for Bursar

The position of Bursar at the University will be vacant starting from May 16th, 2023. Applications are invited from qualified and interested candidates to fill the position.

Duties:

The Bursar serves as the Chief Financial Adviser of the University and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for managing the day-to-day financial affairs of the University. Key responsibilities include:Advising on the financial policy of the University
Preparing annual estimates of income and expenditure
Monitoring income and expenditure in relation to the budget and presenting reports to the Vice-Chancellor
Keeping accounts of the University and preparing financial statements and balance sheets
Maintaining a cash flow projection for current and future years
Advising on financial investments of the University
Administering the pension scheme for Teaching and non-Teaching staff
Scrutinizing and approving invoices for payment
Organizing special appeals for capital projects and endowment funds
Keeping cost analysis and other statistical records
Advising on taxation methods

Qualifications:Candidates must possess a good honours Degree (not below Second Class Lower Division) in Accounting or related disciplines plus membership of any of the following recognized Professional Accounting bodies namely: ACA, ACCA, ICAN, CA, ACMA and ANAN.
The candidate should have at least fifteen (15) years post honours degree experience in a University or comparable institution, five (5) years of which must be as a Deputy Bursar in a public university. Possession of a higher degree in a relevant field and a good working knowledge of appropriate computer packages will be an advantage.
Applicants must not be more than sixty (60) years of age at the time of appointment.

Terms of Appointment:

The appointment is for a period of five (5) years only, effective from the date of appointment. The salary is as applicable in public Universities in Nigeria.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a good honours Degree (not below Second Class Lower Division) in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Purchasing and Supply, Finance, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Statistics, Mathematics, or other related disciplines from a recognized University. They must have at least fifteen (15) years of post-qualification cognate experience, with ten (10) years in a tertiary institution, and must have spent a minimum of five (5) years on CONTISS 13 or two (2) years as Deputy Director of Procurement in a public University. Candidates must also be a registered member of the Institute of Purchasing and Supply. Possession of a higher degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.

The salary for this position is CONTISS 15 (N2,232,199 – N2,875,791) per annum.

They must have at least fifteen (15) years of post-qualification cognate experience, with ten (10) years in a tertiary institution, and must have spent a minimum of five (5) years on CONTISS 13 or two (2) years as Deputy Director of Works in a public University. Candidates must also be a registered member of relevant professional bodies such as COREN, NIOB, CORBON. Possession of a higher degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.

They must have at least fifteen (15) years of post-qualification cognate experience in a university or comparable institution, with ten (10) years in a tertiary institution, and must have spent a minimum of five (5) years on CONTISS 13 or two (2) years as Deputy Director of Physical Planning in a public University. Candidates must also be a registered member of relevant professional bodies such as COREN, NIOB, CORBON, ARCON, NIA, NIQS, NITP, TOPREC, NIESV. Possession of a higher degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.

EKSU Job Recruitment for Director of Health Services

Qualifications:

The candidate must possess a Degree in Medicine from a recognized institution and be duly registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). They must have at least 15 years of post-qualification experience, with two (2) years as a Deputy Director or at least five (5) years as a Deputy Chief Medical Officer in a public university. The candidate must also have a Master’s Degree in Public / Community Health or its equivalent.
