EPL: Tottenham coach, Ange Postecoglou makes history

Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ange Postecoglou has written himself into the Premier League history books after he was named Manager of the Month for September.

Postecoglou has become the first manager to pick up the award in his first two months working in the competition after he took charge of Tottenham in the summer.

The Australian, who left Scottish champions Celtic to take the Spurs job, has enjoyed a remarkable start and has led his team to the top of the table.

Postecoglou’s men remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season, winning six and drawing twice with impressive wins over Manchester United and Liverpool.

That sees them sit above Premier League champions Manchester City as well as Arsenal.

Tottenham’s glowing form comes despite losing their goal-machine Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window, a move which most felt was going to hinder Postecoglou’s side.

But Kane’s absence has so far brought the best out of the likes of Son Heung-min and summer signing James Maddison.

Recall that both Son and Maddison recently won the Premier League Player of the Month awards in September and August, respectively.
