Don Jazzy Stands Up For Davido – Challenges Music Critics

Nigerian music executive, Don Jazzy, recently took a swipe at music analysts who often criticize people like him and Davido for promoting their albums and those of the musicians in their record labels.



At the same time, he issued an open challenge to them to show how many artistes they have developed and turned into stars.

He even advised budding as well as up-and-coming singers to emulate Davido’s style of promoting his album.

He wrote; “Dear artists hope you can see how Davido is marketing his album. He didn’t form oh I’m OBO so everybody will cop my shit. Marketting your beautiful project that you worked hard on does not reduce your swag.”

Reacting to his post, a fan drew his attention to the comments by music critics that it is forbidden by singers to engage in album self-promotion.

“Music twitter said promoting your album is haram sir,” he tweeted.
